(2023-24) BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND:
Our 2022 MLK Day "Pollinator Pathways" provided an opportunity for diverse community members to learn about ways to strengthen and steward our natural resources and positively impact the pollinators who give and sustain our life sources.
Participants were also able to get creative in their stewardship efforts.
Diverse individuals, organizations, schools, girl scout troops, farmers market attendees, climate and environmental activists, creatives, etc. came together throughout the months of January - May and built, ornamented, and delivered STUNNING homes for our pollinators. Scroll down to see some of last year's designs.
Select creations were featured in our "END ERASURE" Integrated Arts Climate & Environmental Justice Exhibit curated by Harvesting Humanity Founder & CEO, Eboné M. Lockett and presented during Harvesting Humanity's facilitation of the United States Climate Action Network Annual Convention (USCAN) held June 2022 here in Charlotte. The birdhouses also have become quite the attraction at several of our virtual and in-person community events.
For 2023 and 2024, we will offer desiring community members an opportunity to contribute their hands and artistry to our very own Earth Day Exhibit to be launched in April, 2024.
